Lady Wanda Banks State President - Lady Wanda Banks, New York State President " I Got My Sister's Back!" Lady Wanda Banks is an Evangelist (by God's right), and motivational speaker who is not afraid of standing on the Word of God. She is the Founder and Director of "Garment of Wholeness Women Ministries." A ministry geared towards touching the hearts of women in battered shelters, homeless shelters, and prisons.  Her goal is to "Evacuate, Encourage, and Evangelize those who sit in Darkness." Lady Banks is a living testimony of "Wholeness" through her faith in Jesus Christ. Wanda has touched the hearts of many women as well as men, through her style, personality, character and love for her Lord. Wanda was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, where she attended the Ebenezer Baptist Church. There she was baptized and came to the Lord at the early age of 9. She later relocated to the Bronx, NY, where she became a member of the Friendly Baptist Church under Rev. Albert Sutton, Sr. and First Lady Betty Sutton. There her relationship with Christ grew and she would later meet her husband. Wanda joined the Evangelism Exploxion Team, where she learned to study God's word and witness effectively to those who were lost. It was then that she realized this was her calling to evangelize to the lost. Knocked down on her back by the Spirit of God, she fell sick with the flu in 2001, and could hardly move for days. "During this time, I had a dream and the Lord showed me my purpose; "To Evacuate, Encourage, and Evangelize those women in Darkness." When Wanda awoke from her dream, the Spirit of God led her to Jeremiah 31:22a and asked her, "How long will you wander O unfaithful Daughter?" Then to Isaiah 42:6-7, giving her instructions and finishing with Isaiah 8a, letting her know who spoke to her. "From that moment I could feel the power of the Holy Spirit moving inside me." "I knew I had work to do!" In May 2003, she officially met her husband after a Sunday morning worship service. "I felt like I was already connected to him in the spirit, but didn't realize it until we talked." On January 2004 they came together as one and the union was blessed with a son. She serves as the First Lady of the Progressive Baptist Church, where her husband Tommy Banks Sr. is the Pastor. She leads under the direction of her husband, the Christian Education Classes and is currently organizing "Purple Promises to Women of God", a women's ministry with Progressive Baptist Church. "I've pressed my way through the crowd of Darkness until I touched the hem of my Lord's garment and because of my faithfulness he made me WHOLE."
